Designed for professionals, this kit is designed to take the guesswork out of hard water removal and glass restoration.  Each kit contains a variable speed polisher, 5” backer plate, drill adapter, two types of glass polish compounds, polishing pads, and a durable glass sealer. Mr. Hard Water® Marine Glass Windshield Cleaning Powder contains absolutely NO acids or chemicals, making it run-off safe on surrounding surfaces such as fiberglass, plastic, and metals.  Each pad varies in abrasiveness and is specifically designed to polish, clean and restore sensitive glass. Once restored, Mr. Hard Water® Marine Glass Windshield Sealer Salt & Hard Water Protector will keep it cleaner longer and protect against further degradation and glass etching due to calcium and salt.  The sealer requires no buffing and cures in 3-5 minutes.  CAUTION: Not suitable for plastic or glass / plastic composites.

Cleaning Powder:

Mr Hard Water® Marine Glass Windshield Cleaning Powder is an industrial strength, environmentally safe, super-fine, natural, acid/chemical free, cleaning, polishing, and hard water removal powder designed for cleaning and restoring marine windshields made of glass and metals.  NOTE: Not suitable for plastic or glass / plastic composites. Restore damaged glass and avoid costly replacement.  Remove hard water, salt, seagull droppings, and dirt.  Unlike other cleaners, Mr Hard Water® Windshield Cleaner is run-off safe! NOTE: Not recommended on fiberglass, paint, gel coats, or plastic.

Directions for use: Always test in an inconspicuous place.  Not recommended for coated or treated glass, fiberglass, plastics, or glass/plastic composites. Best when used by hand, but can be used as a glass polish with a low speed buffer provided the cautions below are observed. It is recommended to use Mr. Hard Water® Marine Glass Windshield Electric Buffer Polishing Compound when using a polisher. For light stains, polish by hand using a soft non-abrasive cloth or microfiber towel.  1. Add water to the powder to create a paste. 2. Wet the cloth with water.  3. Dip wet towel into powder.  4. Polish by hand in a circular motion.  5. Let dry to a dust and wipe away, or rinse with water. Polisher / Buffer Instructions:  1. Follow manufacturer’s specification for glass cleaning. 2. Consider using a waiver on restoration jobs, if necessary. 3. Test in an inconspicuous place. 4. Always polish on low speed (<500 RPM). 5. Add water to create a paste. 6. Apply to glass and/or polishing pad with soft brush. 7. Re-wet frequently with water during polishing to refresh the paste.  8. Inspect work frequently by looking through the glass both from outside to inside, and from inside to outside. 9. Do not over polish. 10. Rinse with water. 11. Apply glass sealer. For metals, hand apply with the grain. Marine Glass Windshield Cleaning Powder is the recommended cleaning compound before applying Mr Hard Water® Marine Glass Windshield Sealer Salt & Hard Water Protector.

Windshield Electric Buffer Polishing Compound 

Mr Hard Water® Marine Glass Windshield Electric Buffer Polishing Compound is specifically designed for glass polishing, and is ideal for restoring marine glass windshields. It is composed of 1300 nm polishing particles (50 times smaller than powder abrasives) fully suspended in deionized water, making it ready-to-use.  It removes salt and hard water stains caused by calcium ocean overspray. It can also remove light swirl marks, light scratches, and light glass etching. NOTE: Not suitable for plastic or glass / plastic composites. NOTE: Not recommended on fiberglass, paint, gel coats, or plastic.

Directions for use: Shake well.  Test in an inconspicuous place. Do not dilute or mix.

Hand Application: 1. Apply with a soft cloth or microfiber towel and polish in a circular motion.  2. Let dry to a dust and wipe away, or rinse with water. 3. Apply Mr Hard Water® Marine Glass Windshield Sealer Salt & Hard Water Protector. Polishers: 1. Spray 2- 3 squirts onto the glass windshield. 2. Spray 1-2 squirts onto a soft non-abrasive polishing pad. 3. Polish on low speed (<500 RPM). 4. When material begins to dry to a dust during polishing, re-wet with water from a spray bottle. 5 Reapply compound as needed until desired result is achieved. 6. Let dry and wipe away, or rinse with water. 6. Apply Mr Hard Water® Marine Glass Windshield Sealer Salt & Hard Water Protector. POLISHING PADS: For best polishing results, use a Mr Hard Water® – Blue Nylon Polishing Pad for light to medium stains.  For tough stains, use a Mr Hard Water® super fine #0000 steel wool polishing pad. Mr Hard Water® Marine Glass Windshield Cleaning Powder can be used if a more abrasive polishing compound is needed. NOTE:  Not recommend on plastics, or glass / plastic composites. Do not over polish. Always follow windshield manufacturer’s maintenance instructions.
